It was originally planned to finish reading and taking notes on The Essence of Management by Professor Chen Chunhua of Peking University in March, but due to frequent business trips and personal lack of self-discipline, the completion of 12 notes was postponed to May Day holiday. The main reason that really affects the continuous success of an enterprise is not the company's strategic goal or management process, but the focus on creating value for customers, which is the first key basic element of operation. So peter drucker said, "The purpose of enterprises is to create customers."

1, the enterprise has only one position, that is, the customer position.

Why can't many efforts made by enterprises enhance customers' desire to buy, but make customers farther and farther away from the enterprise? The fundamental reason is that enterprises are misled by their own thinking mode, overemphasizing their own value pursuit and ignoring the value of the customer's use process. If the behavior of the enterprise causes the customer to be unable to make a choice, then the customer has to give up the choice. Therefore, enterprises really need to change their thinking mode and keep consistent with their customers' thinking mode. There is only one location for an enterprise, which is the location of its customers.

We must concentrate the company's energy and pay attention to customer value.

For managers, the workplace needs to be transferred from the company's office to the customers. Managers need to pay attention not to how insiders work, but to what customers are doing; In other words, managers need to overlap their "work focus" with "customers".

Perception 1. When management talents are at the helm of the company, they are not good at management, and there are no excellent management talents in the team. It is absolutely impossible to have good business performance.

The ability of cost is the basis of realizing the business performance of enterprises, but the lowest cost should not be pursued, because without the lowest cost, the cost can only be reasonable. In Porter's competitive strategy, cost advantage refers to the total cost leading, not the lowest cost. This is a misunderstanding of many domestic managers, who think that the lower the cost, especially the labor cost, the better.

Step 2 simplify, simplify, and then simplify

Domestic enterprises do not lack management, but management is too complicated; It is not the lack of institutional construction, but the lack of institutional capacity; It's not that employees can't execute it, but that there are too many management instructions to execute it. These problems all stem from the complexity of enterprise management system: complex organizational hierarchy, complex salary system, complex assessment, responsible division of labor and complex corporate culture.

Mr. Drucker said that management is two things, reducing costs and improving efficiency.

3. Put the best talents on the front line closest to the action.

Only by relying on employees and outstanding talents can enterprises fundamentally solve all the challenges they face. In this regard, many enterprise managers need a good understanding and implementation, and should put outstanding talents on the front line and put them in the nearest place to the front line.

It is the front-line employees who have the most contact with customers and create value directly. Enterprises will have obvious competitive advantages by connecting the creativity and potential of employees with all customers. Enterprises should understand that only excellent people are in the front line can enterprises gain the most direct and fastest advantage, because front-line employees determine the company's cost, quality and sales.

It is a cognitive mistake for enterprises to put the last elimination on front-line employees, and the last elimination should be among managers.

(3) Effective scale

1. scale is the foundation of enterprise existence and one of the basic elements of enterprise management.

2. Business operators must clearly realize that the essential meaning of scale is to bring cost advantages and market influence, not scale itself.

3. The scale obtained by investing a lot of resources is not an effective scale; Because the index to measure the scale benefit is not quantity, but per capita input and output, which is the concept of efficiency.

4. The misunderstanding of scale is that scale growth is the fundamental way to gain leadership. The bigger the scale, the more profits. In fact, the relationship between scale and profit is not a perfect positive correlation. The survey results show that 70% of the companies that make money are not the largest companies.

1. Profitability is the fundamental reason for the existence of enterprises, and it is also an important content of enterprise management.

2. What kind of profit is the deep concern for human nature? In addition to making profits, the business of an enterprise should also make contributions to society. First of all, let its employees realize the value of life, and more importantly, solve social problems, promote social progress, make people's lives happier and make the natural environment for survival better.

The only way to achieve great things is to love your career, and don't waste time repeating other people's lives. Unleashing employees' energy and relying on employees to build the core competence of enterprises must become * * * knowledge.
