The goal and orientation of Chengde's traffic construction in the next five years is to "integrate into Beijing and Tianjin, reach Liaoning and Inner Mongolia, and open ports". In 2003, the highway network planning of Chengde city began to be compiled, that is, the highway network planning of "one ring and eight shots". This plan focuses on the urban area and Shuangluan District, and invests 40 billion yuan to build eight sections and more than 800 kilometers of expressways, including Jingcheng, Tang Cheng, Chengchao, Qin Cheng, Chengchi, Zhangcheng, Jincheng and Chengwei (paddock). The development of Chengde Expressway will usher in two great opportunities.

The second opportunity is the strategic decision to build an interactive pattern of "east and west", which brings a rare opportunity for Chengdu-Qinhuangdao and Chengdu-Zhangjiakou expressways to start construction. With the start of the construction of Inner Mongolia's heavy-haul coal shipping channel, the construction of Qin Cheng-Zhangcheng Expressway, as an important part of it, will also be put on the agenda.

After the opening of Jingcheng Expressway, Chengde is 207 kilometers away from Beijing. After the opening of Tang Cheng Expressway, Chengde to Tangshan155km; Chengde to Tianjin is 240 kilometers; After the opening of Qin Cheng Expressway, Chengde is 200 kilometers away from Qinhuangdao. By then, the city can reach the surrounding large and medium-sized cities within 4 hours. The expressway leading to the coastal areas has been opened. It is 265,438+08 kilometers away from Caofeidian, 65,438+099 kilometers away from Qinhuangdao Port, 240 kilometers away from Tianjin Port and 250 kilometers away from Jingtang Port, all of which are within the 250-kilometer coastal radiation circle of international practice. In this way, the main skeleton of the expressway with the urban area and Shuangluan District as the center, facing Beijing and Tianjin, reaching Liaoning and Mongolia, opening ports and connecting energy bases will be basically formed, and the traffic bottleneck will be effectively alleviated. Coupled with the completion and opening to traffic of several other expressways, Chengde will surely become a major traffic channel connecting things.
