The difference between branches and agencies

1. Branches usually refer to subordinate units established according to law with relatively independent organizational structure and economic accounting relationship. Branches can independently undertake business activities and have high management autonomy, but they still need to follow the overall planning and management policies formulated by the parent company. Branches are generally large enterprises or group companies, established in many areas at home and abroad, and usually have their own functional departments such as financial budget, human resource management and marketing.

2. Agency refers to the temporary organization form in which the parent company or superior organization sends employees or representatives to other regions to carry out business management activities. The dispatched offices usually have no independent legal personality and financial accounts, and their responsibilities and authority are also restricted by the assignment of the parent company or the superior organization. Agencies are generally small and medium-sized enterprises or companies in emerging industries, which are established in a few areas at home and abroad, mainly to carry out specific market research, sales expansion or technical cooperation.
