Many users complain that the platform car rental company of Chengdu Meituan "runs the road". Should the US Mission be responsible for this?

First of all, the US Mission is definitely responsible. After all, this car rental platform is rented on the US Mission. Many users pay the deposit and rent here because they take a fancy to the platform of Meituan. Otherwise, who would put thousands of dollars into someone else's account for no reason? Since everyone's living conditions have improved, they will like to go to go on road trip in the future. However, considering that there are too many people who buy cars, driving in urban areas is usually too congested, so many people don't buy cars. It is natural to rent a car to go to road trip, but many car rental platforms will encounter some minor problems when returning the car. It stands to reason that there should be no problem renting a car on the Meituan platform this time, but I didn't expect that the deposit for renting a car before the National Day has not been refunded so far. At the beginning, someone gave the answer that there was an illegal police car between them, so it would take a month or 45 days for the deposit to be refunded to them. Unexpectedly, even people could not be contacted after this, and the car rental company kept shirking their demands. And this situation is not only one or two cases, but also all over the country. Now hundreds of people have become victims, involving millions of dollars. So during this time, since this car rental platform is advertising and equipment leasing on Meituan, it stands to reason that Meituan should be responsible for some actions of this company. After all, any company that cooperates with them is subject to their supervision. If Meituan doesn't play a role in this activity, I don't understand why Meituan allows them to advertise on their own platforms. However, after receiving consumer complaints, Meituan also said that it had contacted these rental platforms, but these help platforms are now offline, so they can't be contacted. However, Meituan is willing to cooperate with consumers to defend their rights through legal means.
