If the branch company can conduct independent accounting with the consent of the head office, it can open a basic deposit account; If the branch does not conduct independent accounting, its funds are controlled by the head office, and it is not allowed to open a basic deposit account. Because the branch is not an independent legal person and cannot bear civil liability independently, the opening of basic deposit account must be approved by the Head Office. Basic deposit account is the main account for transfer settlement and cash receipt and payment, and the fund receipt and payment of daily business activities and the withdrawal of wages, bonuses and cash can be handled through this account.
After the establishment of the company, independent accounting can open a basic account, and the information required for opening an account includes:
1. Original and photocopy of business license;
2. Original and photocopy of organization code certificate;
3. Original and photocopy of national tax certificate and local tax certificate;
4. Original and photocopy of legal person ID card. If it is not a legal person, it also needs a copy of the agent's ID card and a power of attorney from the legal person.
5. Official seal of the company and bank seal (special seal for finance and private seal for legal person).
To sum up, basic deposit account is the main account for transfer settlement and cash receipt and payment, and the daily fund receipt and payment of business activities and the withdrawal of wages, bonuses and cash can be handled through this account. Opening a basic deposit account is a prerequisite for opening other bank settlement accounts. According to the Regulations on the Administration of RMB Bank Settlement Accounts, an organization can only choose one bank to apply for opening a basic deposit account. After the establishment of a branch, basic account can be opened for independent accounting.

Companies can set up branches. The establishment of a branch company shall apply to the company registration authority for registration and obtain a business license. A branch company does not have legal person status, and its civil liability shall be borne by the company. A company may set up subsidiaries, which have legal personality and independently bear civil liabilities according to law.
