However, when the honeycomb body is fired, too much water will easily cause the product to burst and be scrapped. In order to control the drying degree of baking, the standard of residual moisture ≤2.5% after baking honeycomb was established through repeated practical tests on the production site. Products that meet this standard can be guaranteed not to explode or be scrapped at the initial stage of firing, and the specific effect needs to be followed up.
1. 1.4 cutting process
The cutting process is the last process before firing, and the cut honeycomb body is directly fired in the kiln. Therefore, the products of the cutting process must be qualified to ensure that the sintered honeycomb body meets the quality standards in appearance. According to the cutting process product standards formulated by the company, monitor and spot check, and strictly control the product appearance. After hard work, the qualified rate of finished products in the cutting process remained above 99.5%, which reached the standards set by the company.
