SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. is a large Sino-foreign joint venture automobile company established by Shanghai Automobile Group, American General Motors Corporation and Guangxi Automobile Group. Its predecessor can be traced back to 1958 Liuzhou power machinery factory. The company has four manufacturing bases: Liuzhou Hexi headquarters, Liuzhou Baojun base, Qingdao branch and Chongqing branch, forming a development pattern of north-south linkage and east-west echo. On July 2010/8, the company released the passenger car brand "Baojun" and officially entered the passenger car market, positioning the brand as a "reliable partner".
