Why Jackie Chan's Beijing Mansion was seized?

Jackie Chan's Beijing mansion will be sealed up because the property right is still in the hands of the developer, who was forced to seal it up because of a debt dispute.

At the end of 2007, after Yu Jia Land Company delivered it to Jackie Chan, these two houses have not been registered for property right change according to the contract. The property right of the house is still in the hands of the developer. Due to the developer's debt dispute, Beijing Tian Hong Holdings filed an arbitration with Yu Jia Land Company and applied to the court for compulsory execution. During the execution of the court, two houses and parking spaces under Jackie Chan's name were sealed up.

2065438+On June 20th, 2009, Zhongtai Jackie Chan Company sued Tian Hong Holding Company, requesting the court to stop the execution of the above two properties and five parking spaces. According to the first-instance judgment of Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court, the court supported the request of Zhongtai Jackie Chan Company to stop the execution of the aforementioned property.

However, Tian Hong Holding Company refused to accept the first-instance judgment and appealed to the Beijing Higher People's Court on February 13, 2020, demanding that the first-instance judgment be revoked and the lawsuit of Zhongtai Jackie Chan Company be rejected.

The Beijing Higher People's Court held that the failure to transfer the property right of the house involved to the name of Zhongtai Jackie Chan Company before the seizure was due to Zhongtai Jackie Chan Company's own reasons, and the lawsuit of Zhongtai Jackie Chan Company did not fully meet the relevant requirements for the implementation of the objection reconsideration regulations, so it decided to revoke the first-instance judgment and reject the lawsuit of Zhongtai Jackie Chan Company.
