Since the establishment of Meizhou Bay Port Authority in 2009, Meizhou Bay Port has invested a total of 9.7 billion yuan (up to August 20 12).
Meizhou Bay Port is located in the middle of the southeast coast of China, bordering Fuzhou Port in the north and Xiamen Port and Taiwan Province Province across the sea in the south. The port facilities of Meizhou Bay Port are mainly distributed in Xinghua Bay, Meizhou Bay, Quanzhou Bay, shenhu bay and Weitou Bay.
The planned natural coastline of Meizhou Bay Port is182km, of which the deepwater coastline is 42.9km.. By the end of 20 1 1, 50.8 kilometers of coastline had been developed and utilized. There are currently 47 productive berths/kloc-0, including 24 deep-water berths with a tonnage of over 10,000 tons. The annual design throughput of the terminal is/kloc-0.0232 million tons, including 654.38+450,000 TEUs of containers.
Meizhou Bay Port will focus on developing bulk cargo transportation, speed up the development of Quanzhou Bay, which mainly focuses on domestic container transportation, moderately develop other port areas serving local economy and port-facing industries, and gradually develop into a main hub port facing the southeast coast, serving exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan and the development of the central and western regions.
After the integration, Meizhou Bay Port has become one of the 300 million-ton ports in Fujian Province. 20 1 1 year, Meizhou Bay Port * * completed the cargo throughput of1.1.400 million tons, accounting for 3 1% of the coastal port throughput of the whole province.
The third phase of Meizhou Bay Waterway was officially started on April 1. With a total investment of about 3 billion yuan, this project is the largest and highest-level waterway project in Fujian over the years, and it is also the first port and shipping construction project in Fujian Province to receive a loan from the World Bank.
According to the plan, the third phase of Meizhou Bay Waterway will be fully completed in 20 15, and the navigation grade of Meizhou Bay main waterway will be upgraded to 400,000 tons after completion. By then, Meizhou Bay will be navigable and berthed with various types of bulk carriers, such as 400,000-ton iron ore carriers, 450,000-ton crude oil carriers and 220,000-ton coal carriers, all of which are the largest in the world.
