What's the difference between IMAX and DMAX?

IMAX is a film projection system, which can show larger and higher resolution films than traditional films. The whole system includes film copying, projector, sound system, screen and so on. 4. Different seat designs

Because of the high resolution of IMAX, the audience can get closer to the screen. Generally, all the seats are within the height of a screen, and the inclination of the seats is larger than that of ordinary cinemas. DMAX adopts the seat design with large slope, wide row spacing and low viewpoint.

5. Different brightness

IMAX uses exclusive technology to scan and print ordinary 35mm film onto 70mm film through digital original copy technology. DMAX adopts high-brightness dual-camera projection, and the screen brightness is improved by nearly 20% compared with IMAX, and it is equipped with various immersive sound reproduction systems.
