There are many kinds of music in the fountain, mainly world famous songs, Chinese folk music, instrumental performances and pop songs. In important festivals, the music of the fountain will also play corresponding songs to increase the festive atmosphere. As the largest matrix music fountain square in Asia, the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda also has the city's iconic music-Water Fantasy Datang. This set of music is composed by Cui, a famous composer in Shaanxi, and played by the National Symphony Orchestra of China, with a duration of 28 minutes. In the grand symphony, the musical features of China's national musical instruments pipa, Dong Xiao, guzheng and bamboo flute are blended, and tang style's ancient rhyme emerges from the scene, which is vividly praised as "Western blockbuster" by the performers. The symphony suite "Water Fantasy Datang" consists of six movements: Big Wild Goose Pagoda ringing the bell, flowing Sanskrit, Nishang Yan Ying, Ancient Camel Bell, Qujiang Furong and Water Fantasy Datang. The water dance with six movements and six styles perfectly matched with the music fountain is "swaying from time to time, dancing lightly from time to time, jumping with joy from time to time, and surging with excitement".
