Mining with rare earth is:
Northern Rare Earth Group: As one of the six rare earth groups in China's rare earth industry, Northern Rare Earth is the largest supplier of light rare earth products in China and even in the world.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Natural Resources released the first batch of indicators for the total control plan of rare earth mining, smelting and separation in 2020. The total indexes of rare earth mining and smelting separation are 66,000 tons and 63,500 tons respectively.
The distribution of rare earths in the north is 35,375 tons and 30,492 tons, accounting for 53.60% and 48.02% respectively. The two total control indicators of rare earth in the north are the first of the six major rare earth groups in China.
Although North Rare Earth itself does not own rare earth resources, Baotou Steel (Group) Company, the controlling shareholder of the company, owns the exclusive mining right of Baiyun Obo Mine, and the rare earth resources mined by Baotou Steel (Group) Company are exclusively smelted and separated by the company. The company also actively seeks to control external rare earth resources.
