Jiangning County Tongjing Gold and Copper Mine ()

The mining area is located in Tongjing Town, 35km southwest of Jiangning County. Ningwu railway and highway pass through Tongjing town, and there are highways leading to the mining area, with convenient transportation.

The deposit is located in the middle of the Mesozoic volcanic rift basin in Ningwu, controlled by the NW-trending fault structure, and consists of gold-bearing copper chronological veins, siderite veins and barite veins of different sizes. The ore bodies are vein-shaped and compound-vein-shaped, and occur in the structural cracks of volcanic rocks of Niangniangshan Formation in Cretaceous. The main ore body is 800 meters long, 286 meters deep and 0.6-2. 1 1 m thick. The ore is semi-self-shaped-special-shaped granular structure with massive and granular structure. The ore minerals are mainly natural gold, silver-gold ore, chalcopyrite, bornite and pyrite. The average gold content of ore is1.97g/ton, copper is 0.77%, and silver15g/ton. The genetic type of the deposit is volcanic hydrothermal.

Tongjing copper mine has a long history. Copper was mined in Sui and Tang Dynasties and in the open air in Ming Dynasty, hence the name of Tongjing. Up to now, there are still several traces of mining and smelting in the mining area and its vicinity.

During the Japanese occupation period from 65438 to 0940, Tu Tianan, the technician of the first squad leader of the Mining Branch of the Central China Federal Investigation Agency, made a geological survey of the copper mine in the mining area and found that the Tongkengshan copper mine had a high gold grade. The following year, Huazhong Mining Co., Ltd. carried out mining, which lasted more than two years. Many vertical shafts and tunnels have been dug, and most of the surface minerals have been exhausted, leaving many waste pits. 1February, 942, the technician of the investigation department of Huazhong Mining Co., Ltd. and the head of the ancient museum conducted a one-month geological survey of gold deposits in the mining area and its vicinity. He wrote an investigation report on the gold deposits on the north side of Maanshan ore transport track and the southeast side of Nanjing Tongjing, and found many gold-bearing quartz and barite veins, with an estimated prospective ore reserve of 620,000 tons. In the same year, from May 38 to 10, the technicians of Tongji Resident Office of Gai Na Hezhihuazhong Mining Co., Ltd. investigated the surface outcrop, tunnel mining and deep prospecting of veins in the mining area, summarized the scale, occurrence and grade of gold and copper of veins, and wrote the Mining Report of Tongjing Gold, Silver and Copper in Jiangning County, Jiangsu Province, and calculated the ore mining amount of about 5.66 million tons. 1May, 943, he wrote the Summary of Gold, Silver and Copper Prospecting Achievements in Tongjing County, Jiangsu Province, and calculated the available reserves of the main vein of Tongkeng Mountain: 99 kg of gold and 64 tons of copper, but 50 tons of copper can not be used for the time being.

During the period of 1948, East China Mining Bureau of Resources Committee carried out construction exploration on Tongkengshan gold-copper vein.

In June, 1949, Zhao and Duan, mineral exploration department of East China Ministry of Industry, conducted a geological and mineral survey of the mining area. On July 9th, they finished their field work, filled in the geological maps of 1: 5000 and 1:25000, and drew the plan of 1: 400 vein.

During the period of 1956, Tongguanshan Mining Bureau of Anhui Province conducted a simple mineral survey, made a surface sketch, sampled and studied the previous data, and thought it could be mined. In July of the same year, mining and exploration began, with the aim of mining timely veins containing copper as flux and mining gold and copper as by-products. According to the results of chemical analysis of the ore mined in the mine, the content of silicon dioxide is gradually decreasing, and the grades of gold and copper are gradually enriched, so copper mining is the main method. 1957 The available copper reserve of the main vein below-20m is calculated as 994 tons.

1June, 1956, Team 804 of the Ministry of Metallurgy conducted a one-month geological survey of the mining area, filled in the geological map of the mining area of 1: 1 10,000 square kilometers, and circled 40 timely veins, which was considered to be of preliminary exploration value. 1957 to 65438+February, the southeast Anhui Geological Brigade of East China Geological Bureau was entrusted by Tongguanshan Mining Bureau of Anhui Province and decided to carry out geological exploration in this area. From 1958 to 65438+ 10, team Xie Yanyuan compiled the geological exploration design of Jiangsu Tongjing copper mine and summarized the geological characteristics of the deposit. Ding Chengzuo and Cheng compiled various exploration maps, which laid the foundation for the next work.

From 65438 to 0958, Tongjing Gold-Copper Mine was taken over by Jiangning Copper Mine in Jiangsu Province. In February of the same year, with the approval of Jiangsu Geological Bureau, Nanjing Geological Team Xie Yanyuan and Ding Chengzuo carried out exploration work in the mining area. Fill in the geological map of 1: 1000 mining area, covering an area of 0.6 square kilometers, drilling 5448 meters for construction, and exploratory trench 1200 cubic meters. At the end of the year, the Interim Report on Geological Exploration of Tongkengshan Copper and Gold Mine in Tongjing County, Jiangsu Province was submitted, and the available metal reserves were obtained: copper 1. 1.9 million tons and gold 2.3 tons. By the end of 1959, the team had completed the geological mapping of 0.8 square kilometers in the 1∶2000 mining area and drilled 9209 meters. 1In July, 960, Chen, Ding Chengzuo compiled and submitted the Final Report on Geological Exploration of Tongjing Copper Mine in Jiangning County, Jiangsu Province. According to the review opinions of Jiangsu Provincial Mineral Reserves Committee, in May 1962, Chen and the Second Comprehensive Investigation Brigade of Jiangsu Geological Bureau, etc. , compiled and submitted the Supplementary Report on Revision of Tongjing Copper Mine in Jiangning County, Jiangsu Province. After examination by Jiangsu Mineral Reserves Committee, the available metal reserves are 2.2 tons of gold, 0/0350 tons of copper/kloc and 9.7 tons of silver.

Ling Tao and others from the production department of Tongjing Copper Mine constructed a 483-meter exploration pit and sampling and testing work in the mining area at 1962. 1963 and 1 quarter, the summary of geological exploration work of local state-owned Jiangning copper mine in 1962 was submitted, and the available copper reserves were 539 tons.

By the end of 199 1 year, after many geological explorations, the deposit has accumulated proven available metal reserves: 5 tons of gold, 0/7,000 tons of copper 12 tons of silver.

Tongjing gold and copper mine was mined in Sui and Tang Dynasties, and it was more abundant in Ming Dynasty. During the Japanese occupation, Huazhong Mining Company carried out mining for more than two years. At that time, there were about 300 miners every day and most of the surface minerals had been mined. 1July, 956, Tongguanshan Mining Bureau of Anhui Province carried out small-scale mining. By the end of 1957, the mined ore volume 19700 tons. Since 1958, the mine has been taken over by Jiangning copper mine in Jiangsu province, and its production scale has gradually expanded. By the end of 1959, * * * had mined more than 80,000 tons of ore, and established a smelter for indigenous copper smelting. The actual production capacity of 1960 is 50,000 tons of ore per year. After several years of mining, the mine was closed. 1988 has been mined again by Jiangning copper mine, and has been explored while mining.
