Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Company, formerly known as Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Factory, was founded in 1958. It is one of the key construction projects during the first five-year plan period 156, and it is also the first manufacturer in China to produce large-diameter spiral submerged arc welded pipes. The company has four wholly-owned enterprises directly under it: Baoji Pipeline Company, Liaoyang Steel Pipe Factory, Ziyang Steel Pipe Factory and Baoji Special Pipe Company.
