Southwest Pipeline Branch of China Petroleum and Natural Gas Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Petroleum Southwest Pipeline Company) is a regional branch directly under the approval of China Petroleum and Natural Gas Co., Ltd., and it is "one organization with three brands" with Southwest Pipeline Co., Ltd. of China Petroleum Group and Southwest Pipeline Sales Branch of China Petroleum and Natural Gas Co., Ltd., and its headquarters is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The establishment of the company has formed a "5+ 1" domestic pipeline operation and management system, in which China Petroleum is mainly composed of five comprehensive operating companies, namely, Pipeline Branch, West-East Gas Pipeline Branch, Western Pipeline Branch, Southwest Pipeline Branch and Beijing Natural Gas Pipeline Company, supplemented by Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company.
The company is mainly responsible for the operation management, construction coordination and crude oil and natural gas sales of China Petroleum's oil and gas pipelines in Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi and other provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions), and undertakes the important responsibility and mission of ensuring the safe operation of Southwest Passage, one of the four national oil and gas strategic passages, the energy security in the western region, the oil and gas supply in the southwest region and the smooth implementation of the national strategy of developing the western region.
