Glass-ceramics suppliers in the domestic market can be basically divided into two camps: imported plates represented by German Schott, Japanese NEG, French Ou Kai special glass and other enterprises; Domestic plate represented by Kanger, Elephant and Cody. Although the components of the two kinds of plates are basically the same, the imported plates are much better than the domestic plates in performance, and the price is higher, and there is basically no overlap in positioning. Due to the rapid expansion of the domestic induction cooker industry in recent years, the output of domestic glass-ceramic panels has increased significantly, while the imported panels occupy only a small market at present because of their high price and shrinking market share. This paper only analyzes the supply and demand of domestic plate market. {HotTag}
Market demand and supply situation
In 2004 and 2005, the supply of glass-ceramics in China was very tight, and the limited production capacity of the industry encountered a blowout market growth. Especially in the peak season of September, the supply of glass-ceramics is very tight and hard to find. As a result, a professional "flop" appeared in the glass-ceramics market, with considerable economic benefits. The market supply of glass-ceramics seriously restricts the rapid growth of the market.
In 2005, the production capacity of China glass-ceramics industry continued to increase substantially. Induction cookers, microwave ovens, gas-electric dual-energy furnaces and other industries digest (including inventory) 32-35 million pieces of glass-ceramics, among which induction cookers (furnaces) are the largest users of glass-ceramics. In 2005, the domestic total output of black crystal plates was 150,000 pieces (including inventory and defective products), of which Kanger accounted for 55%, Daxiang accounted for 30% and other enterprises accounted for 15%. In 2005, the total number of white boards reached 20 million (including inventory), of which Daixing production capacity accounted for 40%, Kanger accounted for 20%, Daxiang accounted for 25%, and Cody and Xinyunlai accounted for about 15%.
In 2006, the raw materials for producing glass-ceramics increased by more than 30%, and some raw materials even increased by more than 2 times. The biggest headache for enterprises is that lithium carbonate, one of the main raw materials for producing glass-ceramics, is out of stock recently. As a raw material for battery materials, special glass, ceramic additives and various lithium compounds, China also produces some lithium carbonate, but its production capacity is limited. Lithium carbonate is basically imported from abroad, and the main producers are Chile and Australia. The price of lithium carbonate, the main raw material for producing glass-ceramics, rose from 30,000 yuan per ton in 2004 to 40,000 yuan per ton in June 2006, and even reached 60,000 yuan per ton in May. Not only is the price rising, but also the supply is seriously insufficient. Enterprises that produce glass-ceramics often have money but can't buy the goods. In addition, the transportation cycle of lithium carbonate is too long, which also restricts the development of glass-ceramics industry. It takes half a year for lithium carbonate to be transported from Chile and Australian producing countries to Tianjin Port in China and Yantian Port in Shenzhen.
Supplier information
Wenzhou Kanger Glass Products Co., Ltd.: Kanger Company is the largest glass-ceramics supplier in China at present. Now it has five kilns and nine crystallization furnaces. In 2005, its production and sales volume was120,000 ~140,000. In the second half of 2006, Kanger's newly-built 45m2 kiln was put into trial production, and it is estimated that the production and sales volume in 2006 will be 20 million ~10 million tons.
Huzhou Daixing Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. is the earliest enterprise in China to develop and produce glass-ceramics. At present, it has 4 kilns and 9 crystallization furnaces, and only produces ordinary white paperboard with a daily processing capacity of 40,000 pieces. In 2005, the total output of Daixing Company reached 8 million pieces. At the end of April, 2006, Daixing reformed the kiln for producing black crystal plates and started trial production. 5438+ 10 June, No.5 kiln was put into production.
Huzhou Daxiang Glass-Ceramics Technology Co., Ltd.: Daxiang Company has decades of technical background in glass-ceramics production. It is a Taiwan-funded enterprise with a glass-ceramics production line integrating melting and crystallization, and its products are of high quality. The total production and sales in 2005 was 5-6 million tablets (including digesting the inventory in 2004). In June 2006, No.2 kiln began to debug a molding experiment. In August, No.3 kiln started construction. It is predicted that Daxiang production will tend to be normal and the output will double by the peak season of sales in 2006.
Guangdong Puning Cody Glass-Ceramics Co., Ltd.: It is the only glass-ceramics enterprise in China located in Guangdong. Cody now has three kilns and four crystallization furnaces. In 2005, the production and sales volume was about 3-4 million pieces. In June 2006, the new kiln was put into trial production with good results.
Others are domestic glass-ceramics enterprises such as Jiangsu Wuxi Xinyunlai, Guilin Dihua, Huzhou Changxing Novotel and Inner Mongolia Jingniu.
Foreign-funded glass-ceramics enterprises mainly include Japan's NEG, Schott household glass, Ou Kai's special ceramics and Japan's MIYAWO.
CERAN (Celan black crystal board) produced by Short Co., Ltd. is a black panel specially developed for kitchen use. Schott Glass Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is responsible for the crystallization, printing and cutting of German Schott glass-ceramics in China. Since 2002, Ceylon black crystal board has mainly occupied the share of high-grade products in China, and the sales volume in 2005 was about 600,000 ~ 800,000 pieces. Ceylon black crystal plate has the characteristics of high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion, and is resistant to daily wear. Its smooth and nonporous surface is very easy to clean.
NEG (Nippon Electric Nizi) has not set up a factory or an independent operation organization in Chinese mainland, and its agent in China market is in Hongkong. Since 1999, it has been an important supplier of glass-ceramics in China. In 2005, less than 2.5 million pieces of glass-ceramics were sold in China market. It is predicted that in 2006, the sales volume of NEG in China will drop sharply due to the sharp decline in the sales volume of the main shallow dish.
Guangzhou Ou Kai Special Ceramics Co., Ltd. is a glass-ceramics processing enterprise jointly invested by EUROKERA and Saint-Gobain in Guangzhou, and it is an important competitor of Schott in the world. China market was first tried at the end of 2005, and it began to compete for high-end share in 2006.
Due to the limited production capacity, the sales volume of this product has not been effectively enlarged since it entered China for several years. At present, the production base of this product has been moved to Malaysia, so the production and sales volume will increase and the price will drop in 2006.
development trends
In 2006, the tight supply of glass-ceramics eased, the price of black crystal board fell, and the price of whiteboard rose. As many glass-ceramics enterprises have increased the production capacity of black crystal plates, the supply exceeds the demand, forcing the profit of black crystal plates to shrink sharply. It is expected that the market price will be lowered to about 30 yuan per plate in the peak season of 2006. In the second half of 2005, the price of whiteboard returned to profitability, and the prices of A, B and C remained at around 16, 17 and 18 yuan per piece.
Market demand shows differentiated growth. For example, Kanger's new light black crystal product has a good market effect. The price of this product is nearly 50% higher than that of ordinary black crystal board, and the output is expected to exceed 400,000 pieces in 2006. In 2007, it is expected that more enterprises will adopt light black crystal products, and the sales volume will be even greater.
In addition, the introduction of national standards has an important impact on the industry, such as impact resistance and other indicators will be more demanding. This undoubtedly sounded the alarm for some small family-owned enterprises, and the industry will gradually move towards standardization, at the same time, it will also accelerate the reshuffle of the industry.
In view of these market conditions, in order to prevent the shortage of glass-ceramics in peak season, many enterprises have strengthened their contact with upstream suppliers. For example, Dongmen subsidiary has established a good cooperative relationship with Wenzhou Kanger, Daxiang, Daixing, Cody, Dihua and other glass-ceramics manufacturers, and paid in advance in the off-season to support its expansion plan, solve the capital bottleneck and stabilize the supply of glass-ceramics in the peak season.
But overall, with the rapid development of the induction cooker market, the production capacity of supporting glass-ceramics factories and subsequent processing enterprises can no longer meet the market demand. At present, Dongmen subsidiary invested in the establishment of a glass-ceramics processing plant, and introduced advanced equipment such as German 800℃ high-temperature furnace, double edging machine, cutting machine and edging machine. The processing plant can carry out a series of operations such as cutting, polishing, edging, screen printing, baking, etc., and process blank plates 10000 pieces a day to meet the demand of enterprises for glass-ceramics in the peak season of induction cookers. In addition, enterprises can develop more differentiated panel products, such as Schott board, Ou Kai board, painted pottery board, black crystal platter and other high-end products, so as to obtain rich profit returns of high-end products and reduce the supply pressure of low-end glass-ceramics.
