The newly established China Post Group Company is mainly engaged in universal service business, competitive business (including express delivery and logistics business) and postal savings business. The provincial postal companies will serve as subsidiaries of China Post Group Corporation. In addition to postal companies in various provinces, China Post Group will also own holding subsidiaries such as China Freight Postal Aviation Co., Ltd. and Postal Bank. In the future, these holding subsidiaries will introduce suitable strategic investors.
The introduction of the "three-set plan" is only a part of the postal system reform. Recently, people from the research office of the State Post Bureau wrote an article in the internal publication Postal Economy, pointing out that after the separation of government and enterprise, postal enterprises will still face heavy reform tasks, and the basic goal of reform is to establish a modern enterprise system in postal enterprises. According to the above-mentioned insiders of the State Post Bureau, postal companies will be restructured into joint-stock listed companies through financing, and eventually become independent legal persons and market competitors.
