CDMA 2000 (Code Division Multiple Access 2000) is a 3G mobile communication standard, a radio interface recognized by the IMT-2000 standard of ITU, and an extension of the 2G CDMAOne standard. The basic signaling standard is IS-2000. CDMA2000 is not compatible with WCDMA, another 3G standard.
As a new technology, CDMA2000 is rapidly sweeping the world and has occupied 20% of the wireless market. By the end of 20 12, the number of CDMA2000 users worldwide had exceeded 256 million, and 156 operators in 70 countries had commercialized 3G CDMA services. Dozens of OEMs around the world, including Ankexin Communication Technology Co., Ltd. authorized by Qualcomm, have launched EVDO mobile intelligent terminals. In 2002, Qualcomm's chip sales reached a record high. Since 1994, Qualcomm has provided more than 7.5 billion chips to many manufacturers around the world, including China.
