Emerson's development in China

China is one of Emerson's fastest growing regions in the world. Since 2002, China has become Emerson's second largest market after the United States. In the late 1970s, Emerson entered China through the first technology transfer project, becoming the first batch of foreign-funded enterprises to enter China, and established the first wholly-owned enterprise in China on 1992. 1In June, 1993, Emerson established Emerson Electric (China) Investment Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, which was the first American company with its headquarters in Shanghai.

Emerson has established more than 40 enterprises and production bases in China, which are located in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Beijing, Qingdao, Fuzhou, Jiangmen and other cities 15.

Up to now, Emerson has established more than ten R&D centers, which are located in Suzhou, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Nanjing and Xi.

In addition, Emerson has been expanding its procurement in China.

In 2008, Emerson actively contributed to the Beijing Olympic Games, and its group cooperated with many major venues such as Bird's Nest, Water Cube, Olympic Torch, Linglong Tower, Bicycle Hall and Softball Center.
