If you buy flight delay insurance, you generally need to provide the insurance company with airline delay certificate, claim registration form, copy of air ticket, boarding pass, copy of ID card and other relevant certificates when making claims. After taking out flight delay insurance, in case of flight delay or cancellation, remember to ask the airport or airline for the official certificate of flight change or cancellation, so as to apply for compensation from the insurance company.
Flight delay refers to the situation that the landing time of the flight is delayed by more than 30 minutes than the planned landing time (the time on the flight schedule) or the flight is cancelled.
According to the policy of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, domestic airlines must compensate passengers for flight delays caused by their own reasons (hereinafter referred to as "delay compensation"). Among them, the flight delay period is divided into four hours to eight hours and more than eight hours, and the compensation standard is between 65,438 yuan and 200 yuan. Airlines can determine their own compensation standards according to their own economic strength. For example, a delay of 4 to 8 hours can be compensated 100 yuan, 150 yuan or even 200 yuan. If the delay exceeds 8 hours, the compensation amount shall not exceed 200 yuan.
