The growth period of Huanong 803 maize is 126 days, and its maturity is equivalent to that of the control variety Zheng Dan 958. Its seedling leaf sheath is purple, the leaves are green, the leaf margin is light purple, the anther is yellow, the glume is green, and the male spike has 6-9 branches.
Huanong 803 maize plant is semi-compact, with a plant height of about 280 cm, an ear position of about 1 10 cm, and 20 leaves in the whole plant. Its filaments are lilac, the spikes are tubular, 20 cm long and 5.0 cm thick, and the number of rows per spike is 16 ~ 20. Its panicle axis is pink, the grain is yellow, half-horse-tooth-shaped, and the weight of 100 grains is 35 grams.
Inoculation identification showed that the variety was highly resistant to stem rot, moderately resistant to gray leaf spot, ear rot, susceptible to big leaf spot and head smut.
