China Ping An Insurance is a joint-stock listed company, belonging to the world's top 500 enterprises, but not to central enterprises. 201March 16, Li Yuanchao, then Minister of the Central Organization Department, announced that the following four major insurance companies had been upgraded to vice-ministerial central enterprises: China Life Insurance; China Taiping Insurance (non-Pacific); China People's Insurance Company; China Export Credit Insurance Corporation.
