Develop a car

On September 22, informed sources revealed that Apple is accelerating the research and development of electric vehicles. The project is called "commitment project" within the company, and the target delivery date is 20 19.

Apple spent more than a year investigating the feasibility of launching a car with the same name. During the investigation, the company also held talks with two groups of government officials in California. According to people familiar with the matter, the leadership of this project called Titan was allowed to triple the 600 people in the R&D team.

Apple has hired experts to develop driverless cars, but according to people familiar with the company's plans, Apple currently has no plans to fully automate its first electric car. According to informed sources, the driverless function will be part of the long-term plan of this product.

Apple's determination to develop an electric vehicle project highlights the opportunity for the company to enter the automotive industry by transferring its iPhone development skills (in the fields of battery, sensor and hardware integration) to the development of next-generation cars. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment.
