Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station is the first large-scale commercial nuclear power station in Chinese mainland and the first nuclear power station built in Chinese mainland with foreign technology and capital. Located in Dapeng Peninsula, Dapeng New District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China, with a linear distance of 5 1km from Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, it is jointly built and operated by Guangdong Nuclear Power Investment Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong Nuclear Power Investment Co., Ltd. and belongs to China General Nuclear Power Group.
There are two million kilowatt PWR units, 80% of which are supplied to Hong Kong and 20% to Guangdong. The power station started construction in 1987, 1 February 1994, and1unit was put into commercial operation. In May of the same year, Unit 2 was put into commercial operation. 4. Daya Bay Unit 2 has an installed capacity of 984,000 kilowatts, and was connected to the grid for power generation in February 1994.
5. The owner of Ling 'ao Nuclear Power Station is Ling 'ao Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., and the main shareholder is China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group Co., Ltd. (100%).
6. The installed capacity of Ling 'ao 1 unit is 990,000 kilowatts, which was connected to the grid in February 2002.
