What does GTV mean?

The full name of GTV is baigross transaction value (total value of original transaction), which is a commonly used performance evaluation index of retail industry represented by e-commerce enterprises.

The difference between this indicator and operating income GMV is "gross", that is, some income deductions such as returns are not deducted (I am not sure how to calculate the discount part of promotion).

The main reason should be that these enterprises may appear to be more powerful when financing in that year, so this indicator was chosen. For example, the Shell Prospectus disclosed that in 20 19 years, GTV (total transaction amount) was 21300 million yuan through more than 2.2 million transactions.

The difference between GTV and GMV.

GMV (gross merchandise volume) mainly refers to the transaction volume of the website, where the transaction volume includes: payment amount and unpaid amount. GMV= = sales amount+cancelled order amount+rejected order amount+returned order amount.

Although gmv is not the actual transaction data, it can also be used as a reference, because only customers click to buy, regardless of the actual purchase or not, it is counted in GMV. Gmv can be used to study customers' purchase intention, the return rate after purchase, the ratio of GMV to actual turnover and so on.
