Huizhou pumped storage power station is the second large-scale pumped storage power station built in Guangdong Province. Its construction is an inevitable choice for Guangdong's power supply optimization and adjustment, and it is also a necessary supporting project for "power transmission from west to east". Like Guangxu, Xu Hui belongs to Guangdong Pumped Storage Power Generation Co., Ltd. The investors are Guangdong Radio and Television Group Corporation, Guangdong Nuclear Power Investment Corporation and China Development and Investment Corporation. The power station was designed by Guangdong Water Conservancy and Electric Power Survey and Design Institute. It is planned that the first unit will be put into operation at the end of 2008.
