The American F-8 Crusader Fighter was developed by American Lintham Cowart Company. The prototype was first tested in March 1955, and the U.S navy was equipped in the second half of 1967. This fighter is the last single-engine fighter of the US Navy.

This aircraft has all-weather combat capability and is one of the main carrier-based fighters of the US Navy from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s. 1965 discontinued, * * * produced 1259.

Equipped with four 20mm "Colt" guns, four AIM-9 air-to-air missiles, two AGM- 12 air-to-surface missiles, various bombs and rockets can be mounted on six external points, with a maximum bomb load of 2950kg.

Special equipment mainly includes AN/APQ94 monopulse fire control radar and AAS- 15 infrared detector. Span 10.72m, captain 16.54m, aircraft height 4.8m, and maximum takeoff weight 15420kg.
