Bismarck, Germany's "Iron Prime Minister"

Otto bismarck (18 15- 1898)

On April 18 15, Bismarck, a famous Prussian and French politician and diplomat, was born.

Bismarck was originally a Junk aristocrat in Brandenburg, and adopted the capitalist management mode. He enthusiastically defended Yong Ke's privilege and monarchy. He served as Prussia's representative in the Federal Parliament and ambassador to Russia and France. 1862 was appreciated by King William I and was appointed as Prime Minister. He immediately implemented the "iron-blooded policy" representing the interests of Yongke landlords. He publicly announced in parliament: "Germany respects Prussia not because of its liberalism, but because of its strength ... At present, the solution of various major problems is not based on the speeches and resolutions of the majority ... but on iron and blood." He ignored the opposition of the parliament, held military discussions and expanded his army to prepare for the war.

1864, Bismarck and Austria launched a war against Denmark, forcing Denmark to give up two principalities. At this time, Bismarck believed that "if Austria had not suffered defeat on the battlefield, Prussia would not be allowed to become the master of unified Germany." So 1866 launched a war against Austria and won, thus consolidating Prussia's dominant position in Germany. 1867, the North German Federation with Prussia as the center was established. However, due to the obstruction of France, the four States of South Germany remained outside the Federation, and in 1870, they carried out the Franco-Prussian War and defeated the French army. At the end of the year, the four southern German states joined the German Federation and established the German Empire. The king of Prussia declared himself the German emperor, and Bismarck served as the Prime Minister of the German Empire and Prussia. Bismarck unified Germany from top to bottom with the "iron and blood policy", and also helped the government of Versailles in France suppress the Paris Commune. He promulgated the Anti-Socialist Extraordinary Law to brutally suppress the workers' movement. Externally, it tries to use the alliance policy to establish Germany's hegemony in Europe. 1898 died of illness.
