Chongqing Jiaolv, formerly known as Chongqing High-grade Highway Construction Investment Co., Ltd., was established in February 2002. It is a large-scale wholly state-owned company funded by Chongqing Municipal People's Government. In September 2006, on the basis of the original first-class and second-class highway assets, the company merged the three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Wujiang Gallery, Shanshui City and other state-owned tourism resources in Chongqing, and changed its name to Chongqing Communications and Tourism Investment Group Co., Ltd.
