Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. is a super-large iron and steel joint venture in China, which is authorized by the Anhui provincial government. Now it has a supporting production scale of 20 million tons of steel, 48,000 employees and total assets of 92 1 100 million yuan.
Masteel is a state-owned enterprise developed by its own accumulation and rolling. 1953 Maanshan iron works produces iron. 1958 Maanshan iron and steel company was established; 1993, the shareholding system was successfully reformed and divided into Maanshan Iron and Steel Company and Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., becoming the first A+H listed company in China iron and steel industry; 1998 Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was restructured into Maanshan Iron and Steel (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. according to law.
Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has three major sectors: steel industry, mineral resources industry and non-steel industry. The main business of iron and steel is concentrated in Masteel, mainly engaged in ferrous metal smelting, calendering and product sales. It has world-class production lines such as cold-rolled sheet, galvanized sheet, color-coated sheet, silicon steel, high-speed wire rod, H-beam and wheel (tire), forming a unique product structure of "plate, shape, line, wheel and special", with the ratio of plate to strip exceeding 50%. The mineral resources industry is dominated by iron ore, and its business is concentrated in mining companies. It has jurisdiction over Nanshan Mine, Gushan Mine, Taochong Mine, Luohe Mine and Zhangzhuang Mine. Non-steel industries involve finance, environmental protection, logistics, trade, engineering design, steel structure, equipment manufacturing and installation, technical consultation and labor services.
