The electronic control unit of DSG transmission is in the box, which may crystallize after long-term use. The control unit named PowerPack is installed outside the box of DCG transmission, which fundamentally improves the reliability and safety of the design.

In order to further improve the working environment of gearbox, General Motors has specially developed a new gearbox oil DEX-DCT for DCG gearbox. It has excellent performance and will not have adverse reaction with any materials in the general DCG gearbox.
The research and development cycle of DCG is five years, during which GM has been using DEX-DCT for development. The parasitic loss of this oil is very low, and it has been filled into the transmission when it leaves the factory, so it does not need to be replaced for life.
2, three shafts and seven gears, compact layout design.
DCG gearbox adopts a gearbox structure similar to manual gearbox and three-axis design, with 7 forward gears and 1 reverse gears. DCG realizes the integration of reverse gear and forward gear in design, so it is small in size and light in weight, which is the premise of high transmission efficiency and high economy.
3. Wide speed ratio improves driving efficiency.
The compact DCG dual clutch gearbox has the characteristics of large speed ratio, and the overall speed ratio (OAR) of 7.47 can release the engine torque to the maximum when the driver needs it, which can match the engine with the maximum torque of 250Nm. It is also compatible with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and can adapt to four different main reduction ratios and nine gear ratio settings at most, thus being able to match many engine and chassis combinations in the future.
