This will be a fast-track connecting Yibin with Zunyi, Bijie, Liupanshui and Guiyang, which is of great strategic significance for Yibin to go south to Guizhou and go to sea.
Project progress: the construction started in September of October/Kloc-March, and it is expected to be completed in October/Kloc-June. After the project is completed, the time from Yibin to Xuyong will be reduced by about half.
Significance of the route: Yibin-Xuyong Expressway is an important section of Yibin-Xishui Expressway in Sichuan Expressway network planning, an important inter-provincial passage from Sichuan to Guizhou, Pearl River Delta and Beibu Gulf, and an important connecting passage of the "Golden Triangle of Liquor". The completion of this line will greatly improve the structure of expressway network in southern Sichuan, which is of great significance for promoting fine tourism, mineral resources development, economic development and social progress in southern Sichuan.
