Satellite status of AsiaSat Limited

As the pioneer of Asian satellite communication, Asia took the lead in successfully launching the Asian-1 satellite with the China Long March III rocket on April 7, 1990, which opened a new era of satellite communication and broadcasting in Asia.

AsiaSat-/KOOC-0/is the first commercial communication satellite in Asia, and it is also the first time that a foreign-made commercial geostationary orbit communication satellite was launched by the Long March series launch vehicle developed and produced by China. Asia-1 satellite has greatly promoted the development of radio, television and satellite communication in Asian countries and regions, and has an indelible historical significance in the history of Asian satellite communication development, and has also made great contributions to the development of China's space industry. In April 2003, Asia 1 successfully completed its historical mission and retired with honor.

Following the successful launch of Asia-1 satellite, Asia successfully launched Asia-2, Asia-3 and Asia-4 satellites. Asian satellite series has the advantages of high power, large capacity, wide coverage, superior satellite orbit position, high coordination priority between orbit and network. The above three satellites in orbit provide Asia with 80 transponders, C-band space resources with 3024MHz bandwidth and 45 transponders, and Ku-band space resources with 2220MHz bandwidth, covering Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and East Africa.
