What does st mean?

When a listed company loses money for two consecutive years or its net assets in the latest year are lower than the face value of the stock, the stock exchange will add "st" before the stock abbreviation, which means "special treatment" to remind investors of the risks.

The daily rise and fall of ST shares shall not exceed 5%. When the listed company still loses money in the third year, it will add "*" before the shareholder's name, indicating that there is a risk of delisting.
