The company was formally established in March 2007 and put into operation in June 2007. On the basis of the original 4 million tons/year (80,000 barrels/day) refinery, the company invested in the construction of an integrated ethylene refining project, which increased the company's refining capacity to120,000 tons/year (240,000 barrels/day), greatly improving the refining capacity of processing sour crude oil, mainly processing sour crude oil in Saudi Arabia. And a set of 800,000 tons/year ethylene cracking unit, a set of 800,000 tons/year polyethylene unit, a set of 400,000 tons/year polypropylene unit and a set of 700,000 tons/year aromatic hydrocarbon combined unit will be newly built; At the same time, the first highly integrated partial oxidation/steam-electricity cogeneration (IGCC) plant in China will be built for hydrogen production, steam production and power generation; In-plant and off-plant projects supporting the above-mentioned process units, 300,000 tons of crude oil terminal and 600,000 cubic meters of transit oil depot have been built, making the terminal throughput of the company reach180,000 tons/year.
