What operating platforms do mobile phones have now?

Nowadays, the mobile phone operating platform has formed a situation in which LiMo, Symbian, Android and WindowsMobile compete for hegemony, but no matter how it develops, open source will be an inevitable trend. Brief introduction of three mobile phone platforms 1. The LiMo Platform LiMo Foundation was initiated by six industry leaders in June 2007, including Motorola, NEC, NTTDoCoMo, Panasonic Mobile Communications, Samsung Electronics and Vodafone. The goal of LiMo Foundation is to establish a standardized platform for mobile phones with built-in Linux. Recently, LiMo has joined the following companies: Theron in the United States, Esmertec in Switzerland, Freescale Semiconductor, Longqi Holdings, MIZIRe-search in Korea, Movial in Finland, PacketVideo in the United States, SKInnoace in Canada, TelecomItalia in Italy, VirtualLogix in the United States and ZTE in China. 2.Android platform Android is jointly developed by Google and open handset alliance, and 34 companies including Google, HTC, T-Mo-Mobile, Qualcomm, Motorola, Samsung, LG and China Mobile will develop new mobile phone services based on this platform. Open handset alliance said that the Android platform can promote the innovation of mobile devices and let users experience the best mobile services. Fully integrated "fully mobile product" has become the ultimate goal of open handset alliance. Similar to iPhone, Android uses WebKit browser engine, which has touch screen, advanced graphic display and Internet access. Users can check emails, search websites and watch video programs on their mobile phones, which can be said to be a single platform integrated into all web applications. 3. Saipan Platform Saipan Foundation was announced on June 24th, 2008. The original board members included AT & amp; T, LG Electronics, Motorola, Nokia, NTTDOCOMO, Samsung Electronics, Sony Ericsson, stmicroelectronics, Texas Instruments and Vodafone Group *** 10 companies, and then10 organizations announced their support for the Symbian Foundation. On July 10, nine other companies confirmed that they would recognize the Symbian Foundation, including mobile operators and Huang 3, TIM, semiconductor manufacturers, software providers Aplix, EB and so on.
