Brief introduction of Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd.

Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Taigang, a listed company in Shenzhen, listing code 000825), formerly known as Northwest Steelmaking Plant, was founded in 1934, and 1996 was transformed into a wholly state-owned company. It is a large-scale iron and steel complex mainly producing plates, and is the largest stainless steel producer in Chinese mainland.

By the end of 2002, TISCO had total assets of 24.389 billion yuan and an annual output of 4 million tons of steel.

TISCO has advanced technology and equipment, such as the mining and processing of refractory materials such as raw materials and iron ore in iron and steel smelting, the pressure processing of iron and steel smelting and steel materials, and the manufacturing and processing of some metallurgical equipment and parts.

TISCO has national technology center, design institute, automation research institute and other scientific research and design units, with strong research and development capabilities. It is also one of the first enterprises in China to obtain the national first-class metrological qualification, and its metrological control department has a special instrument verification center.

TISCO is the earliest enterprise in China to develop and produce stainless steel. Since 1990s, TISCO has aimed at the international level and accelerated the development of stainless steel. By the end of 2002, TISCO has completed the first-phase national debt project of stainless steel system transformation, forming an annual production capacity of stainless steel 1 10,000 tons, and has entered the top ten stainless steel enterprises in the world.
