On the afternoon of March 13, Yishui County held a signing ceremony with Guangdong Changqing Group. The biomass power plant in Yishui County is invested and constructed by Guangdong Changqing (Group) Co., Ltd. The project uses corn straw, wheat straw and other light straws as fuel, and some cotton straws, fruit tree branches, bark leaves and so on are mixed. After the project is put into production, it will consume 400,000 tons of straw and forestry waste every year, increase the power supply by more than 247.5 million kWh, reduce the carbon dioxide emission by 1 0.7 million tons, and generate tens of thousands of tons of pollution-free phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, which will directly increase farmers' income by more than RMB10 million, and directly and indirectly increase employment opportunities by more than10 million.
Fu Wei, secretary of the county party committee, said passionately at the signing ceremony that with keen vision and extraordinary courage, Evergreen Group decided to invest 650 million yuan in Yishui 2×25MW biomass power generation project after full market research and thorough scientific analysis and demonstration, which is undoubtedly a new milestone in the development history of Evergreen Group. The construction of this project is of great significance to give full play to the resource advantages of our county, develop and strengthen the electric power industry, optimize the industrial structure, and promote the scientific, harmonious and pioneering development of our county. Fu Wei said that the county party committee and government will take this project as a key point of the county's economic work, firmly establish the idea that government is service, leadership is service and power is service, do everything possible to serve the project unit, fully support the project construction and development, and ensure that the project is completed and put into production as soon as possible.
