There are two airports in Harbin, namely Harbin Taiping International Airport and Harbin Fangping Airport. Harbin Taiping International Airport, formerly known as Harbin Yanjiagang Airport, is located at Yingbin No.1 Road, Daoli District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China. Now it is one of the three busiest international airports in Northeast China, one of the three "gateway airports" officially approved by the state after Dalian and Shenyang airports in Northeast China, and the airport with the largest number of flights from China to Russia.
Harbin Fangping Airport is a general airport located in Pingfang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. It is the base airport of China Longfei General Airlines.

1In August, 1997, the T 1 terminal building of Harbin Yanjiagang Airport with an investment of12.03 million yuan was put into trial operation. The terminal covers an area of 67,000 square meters and can take off and land large passenger planes day and night. 1July 1998, Harbin Yanjiagang Airport was officially renamed Harbin Taiping International Airport.
