Wuling Electric Power Co., Ltd. has six power plants: Wuqiangxi Hydropower Plant, Lingjintan Hydropower Plant, Jinweiwan Hydropower Plant, Hongjiangshui Hydropower Plant, Wanmipo Hydropower Plant and Sanbanxi Hydropower Plant.
Wuling Electric Power Co., Ltd. was established with the approval of the former Ministry of Electric Power on 1994. Its predecessor is Hunan Wuqiangxi Hydropower Engineering Construction Company, which was established in 1986, and its headquarters is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. The company is mainly engaged in the development, production and sales of electric power, and is responsible for the development of hydropower in Yuanshui River Basin, nuclear power in Hunan, pumped storage power stations and new energy sources.
