Overview?
Hade's main battle tank was made by partially improving FV4030/2 main battle tank according to Jordan's requirements. Compared with Chivotan tank produced later, the fire control system and power transmission device of this tank have changed greatly.
1In August, 1979, Jordan ordered 274 Khalid main battle tanks from Britain, valued at 266 million pounds. 198 1 was delivered.
In order to improve the performance of Khalid tank, Jordan ordered automatic fire extinguishing and explosion suppression devices from Britain at a cost of millions of pounds in 1987, and obtained a large number of L23A 1 tail-stabilized shell-piercing projectiles. It is also considering ordering other improved equipment for this tank, including night vision equipment and armored attached armor. ?

Main weapon
The main weapon of this tank is1l11a5120mm line bore tank gun. The gun barrel is equipped with thermal sheath and muzzle correction device, which can fire all British 120mm tank shells including L23A 1 tail stabilized armor-piercing projectile. When marching, the direction of the artillery steering car is fixed.
2. Auxiliary weapons?
The auxiliary weapons of this tank include 1 L8A2 7.62mm parallel machine gun installed on the left side of the main gun and L37A2 7.62mm anti-aircraft machine gun installed on the commander's control tower, so that the commander can shoot from the vehicle at a long distance.
3. Fire control system?
The fire control system of this tank is similar to the improved fire control system of Chivotan tank, equipped with computer aiming system and tank laser ranging sight made by Bar and Stround company.
In order to install the No.84 Condor sight of pilkington P.E. Limited, the structure of the control tower was modified.
The sight is a day and night integrated device, equipped with a crosshair projection image device, which can provide the captain with 24-hour observation, aiming and shooting ability. It has two independent channels for day use and night use, and is connected with the main battle weapon through the crosshair projection image device.
The crosshair projection imaging device can project the optical crosshair information into the sight, and can also project the light spot for the computer aiming system. The commander's Condor sight is installed in an armored box, and its head can be tilted to-10 ~+35 with a wiper.

The power transmission device of the tank consists of a Condor 12V- 1200 diesel engine from Perkins Engine Company, a TN37 transmission from david brown Vehicle Transmission Company and a propeller Howden.

Kangda/KOOC-0/2V-/KOOC-0/200 engine is a four-stroke V-type/KOOC-0/2 cylinder, with a 60-degree angle direct injection diesel and an output power of 882 kW (/KOOC-0/200 HP) at 2300 rpm. Direct injection combustion system can provide low fuel consumption rate.

2. transmission equipment?
TN37 automatic transmission can provide four forward gears and three reverse gears for tanks. It consists of a ternary single-stage hydraulic torque converter, a planetary gear transmission mechanism, a plurality of friction clutch control elements and a double differential hydraulic steering device.
The power input shaft and the output shaft are T-shaped, and an elastic coupling is installed between the power output shaft and the side transmission device.
3. cooling system?
The cooling system consists of two water radiators and three mixed-flow fans with a diameter of 380mm, which are installed above the transmission device at the rear of the car body.
The cooling air enters the car from the armored shutters, reaches the fan through the radiator, and then is discharged from the armored shutters.
When the vehicle is in the silent alarm state, 1 independent fans are used to cool the auxiliary power supply equipment.
4. Mobile devices?
The balanced frame suspension device used in this tank is a further improvement of the suspension device of Chivotan tank, and the suspension stroke is almost increased by 1 times.
5. Protection system
1 A set of smoke bomb launchers consisting of six smoke bomb launchers are installed on both sides of the turret, and passengers can launch remotely in the car.
