Kunming. KMG is short for kunming changshui international airport. Kunming changshui international airport is located in Changshui Village, Guandu District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, 24.5 kilometers northeast of Kunming City. Operated and managed by Yunnan Airport Group Co., Ltd., it is one of the top 100 airports in the world and the only large-scale gateway hub airport approved for construction during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period. It is the eight regional hub airports and international aviation hub in China, and ranks as two national gateway hub airports in China together with Diwobao International Airport in Urumqi.
