Wang Mujiang's Hong Kong Merchants wants to build "the tallest building in the northwest"

In March 2005, a Hong Kong businessman named "Zheng Ze" came to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, claiming to be the chairman of the board of directors of Hong Kong Golden Eagle International Group Investment Co., Ltd., and he brought a fabulous idea: to build the "tallest building in the northwest" in the bustling business district of Hohhot-Golden Eagle International CBD (Central Business District). Building height169m, building area of 650,000 square meters, investment of 5.3 billion yuan, completed in two years.

This "big hand" immediately attracted the attention of the Hohhot municipal government, and in 2007 it was listed as a gift project for the 60th anniversary of the founding of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In order to ensure the progress of the project, the local government has taken a series of "extraordinary measures". In the early morning of May 2005, the 1 1 floor command building of Hohhot Public Security Bureau, which had just been built for four years, was blown up to make room for the "tallest building in the northwest". Then, the former municipal government building, Longhai commercial building, the health building of the First People's Hospital and the dormitory building of the Municipal Public Security Bureau were demolished one after another, and "Zhengze" got more than 50 mu of land in the prime location of Zhongshan West Road in Hohhot.

Because of the "special affairs", Golden Eagle Company was almost a green light in Hohhot, and soon registered in the industrial and commercial department in violation of regulations and handled the engineering planning permit, land planning permit, real estate development qualification certificate, construction permit and land use right certificate.

However, despite all kinds of incredible preferential policies, the "powerful" Golden Eagle Company has no capital injection, and the "tallest building in the northwest" has quickly become fragmented and even illegally raised funds, which has aroused social doubts and police attention.

With the police investigation, the "myth" was shattered.
