After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Fugang successively smelted the first heat of stainless steel, the first heat of ultra-high strength steel, the first heat of high-speed steel and the first heat of high-temperature alloy for China. It has provided a large number of key special steel new materials for China's first artificial earth satellite, the first missile, the first submarine and a number of national key projects and national defense projects. At present, it is responsible for more than 50% of the consumption of key aerospace materials by the Secretary-General of the National Black Metallurgical Industry Research Project.
Fushun Special Steel Co., Ltd. was established by six promoters, including Beijing Iron and Steel Design and Research Institute, Jilin Carbon Co., Ltd., Jilin Ferroalloy Group Co., Ltd., China No.3 Metallurgical Construction Company and Fushun Electric Power Bureau, on the basis of the partial restructuring of Fushun Special Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., and was approved by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government in document [1999]63, and was established by way of sponsorship on June 7, 2009.
