The parent company, China Datang Corporation, is a super-large power generation enterprise group established on February 29th, 2002 on the basis of some enterprises and institutions of the former State Power Company. It is a wholly state-owned company directly managed by the central government, a state-authorized investment institution and a state-owned holding company approved by the State Council.
As an important part of Datang Group, Datang International Power Generation was formally incorporated in Beijing on June1994+February 65438. It is the first China electric power enterprise listed in Hongkong and the first China enterprise listed in London. At present, the company manages more than 100 wholly-owned and holding power generation companies and other project companies, covering the whole country 18 provinces (cities, autonomous regions).
From June 5, 2008 to February 2009, Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. was selected as "the 25 most respected listed companies in China" by world authorities.
