The Hongkong Electric Company Limited (HEC) is a member of Changjiang Group, which includes Hongkong Electric Company Limited (HEC), HEC International Limited (HEC International), HEC Engineering Company Limited (HEC) and some subsidiaries.

Established in 1889, HEC is the main operating company of HEC Group, responsible for power generation, transmission and distribution to Hong Kong Island and Lamma Island. Today, HEC's power plant in Lamma Island has a total power generation capacity of 3,755 MW, serving more than 550,000 customers, and has maintained 99.999% power supply reliability since 1997.
