Pingdingshan Qingcaoling Shuimarlite Mine ()

Qingcaoling cement limestone mining area is located at the junction of western Pingdingshan City and Lushan County, about 20 kilometers northwest of Pingdingshan City, with an area of 2.5 square kilometers. This mining area is one of the larger cement raw material bases in Henan Province.

There is little difference in topography in the mining area, which belongs to low mountains and hills. The deposit occurs in the Zhangxia Formation of the Middle Cambrian, which is layered and quasi-layered, spreading in the north-south direction, dipping westward with a steep dip angle.

The ore body is composed of the oolitic limestone of Zhangxia Formation and leopard limestone, and the average thickness of the ore body is about120m. The shape and geological conditions of the whole deposit are complex, but it is well exposed, concentrated in distribution and large in scale, and it is also an ideal cement limestone mine.

The Qingcaoling Cement Limestone Mine has hardly been mined before. Only sporadic individual mining produces stones, piers and building cornerstones. After 60' s, it was mined and burned by collective or individual. 1977, the regional geological survey team of Geological Bureau of Henan Revolutionary Committee made a1∶ 200,000 Pingdingshan regional geological map, and systematically divided the strata in this area. However, there is little research on nonmetallic mineral resources in this area, and the introduction is relatively general.

During 1979, Zhou Zaixing, Li Wukang and Yu Zhenjiang, the professional prospecting teams of Henan Building Materials Geological Team, went to Pingdingshan, Lushan and Baofeng for gypsum prospecting in the bottom strata of Cambrian. It is found that the Zhangxia Formation of Middle Cambrian is a set of carbonate rocks suitable for cement raw materials at the junction of western Pingdingshan City and Lushan Mountain, which is located on the phosphogypsum layer of Xinji Formation of Lower Cambrian in Niangniangshan-Qingcaoling area. Through reconnaissance, it is confirmed that this layer is the main rock stratum that constitutes Qingcaoling Mountain, with large thickness, long extension, concentrated ore quantity and huge scale, which has considerable potential value. During the reconnaissance, a geological profile was actually measured and 65,438+05 samples were selected by the system. The average content of main beneficial and harmful components CaO is 565,438 0%, and the average content of MgO is 65,438 0.84%. The ore is of good quality and suitable for cement raw materials. The prospect of Qingcaoling limestone mine as cement raw material is preliminarily determined. Subsequently, Zhou Zaixing's exploration team compiled the Geological Design of Cement Mine Survey in Qingcaoling Mining Area, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. The design was approved by Liu Yougeng, the technical director of the team, and put into practice by Shao Dezheng Geological Group on 1980. The general survey ended on 1982. The chemical analysis results of the samples showed that the contents of CaO and MgO met the requirements, but the contents of K2O and Na2O were too high, which affected the ore quality, so the work was put on hold.

1982101On October 25th, Pingdingshan Cement Plant was completed and put into operation with an annual output of 300,000 tons. However, because the resources have not been identified, the reserves of Xiangshan Temple and Kongshan originally planned to be used after exploration are only 6.5438+million tons, and the geological conditions are complex, with karst caves and fractures developed, thick ground cover and large amount of stripping. Therefore, there will be a crisis soon after the cement plant is put into production, so the plant contacted the Henan Building Materials Geological Team and asked to take over the mine to solve the resource problem.

During the period of 1984, Pingdingshan Cement Plant and Henan Geological Exploration Brigade (formerly Henan Building Materials Geological Team) of Geological Company of National Building Materials Bureau decided to further carry out geological work in Qingcaoling area after discussion.

1in March, 1985, Team 1 of Henan Geological Exploration Brigade of Geological Company of National Building Materials Bureau made a detailed survey of the mining area, with the team leader being Lu. In the detailed investigation, nine exploration lines were added on the basis of the general survey, and the original project was encrypted. Five boreholes were arranged to understand the quality of deep ore and the thickness change of ore body along dip, and 1630 samples were obtained. In the same year, in June 5438+10, the field geological work was all over. Detailed investigation further confirmed that Qingcaoling Mine is a water-mud limestone deposit with complex geological conditions, but large scale (more than 100 million tons), good continuity, concentrated ore quantity and thin overburden. The problem of high K2O and Na2O can be solved by adopting new technology. Therefore, it is determined that this area is a large cement raw material base with great industrial value.

At the end of 1985, the Henan Geological Exploration Brigade of the State Building Materials Bureau, together with Hefei Cement Design Institute and Heping Dingshan Cement Plant, first drew up the industrial indicators of mine exploration. 1March, 1986, all field exploration work was started. As a large amount of fractured soil was found in the borehole ZK 1 10 1 during the exploration, the team introduced the changes of geological conditions found in the construction process to Pingdingshan Cement Plant and Design Institute, re-studied and analyzed the mine according to the geological data at that time, revised the original industrial indicators, deepened the control of the main ore bodies, and found out the distribution of cracks and karst by geophysical exploration. 65438+All exploration field operations were completed in early February, and 1987 submitted the geological exploration report of Qingcaoling mining area in April. Proven reserves of cement limestone184.02 million tons. Among them, industrial reserve accounts for 59%, and first-class products account for 83%.

The discovery of this deposit provides a reliable resource guarantee for the development of Pingdingshan Cement Plant. The State Planning Commission approved the expansion of Pingdingshan Cement Plant with an annual output of 654.38 million tons. The project has been completed and put into operation, making Pingdingshan Cement Plant the largest cement plant in Henan Province and one of the most famous cement plants in China. Its completion and commissioning have played an important role in alleviating the cement shortage in western and southern Henan and revitalizing Henan's economy.

In recognition of the exploration achievements of Henan Geological Exploration Brigade, the Geological Company of the State Bureau of Building Materials awarded the team the third prize of 199 1 year for the exploration and prospecting achievements of Qingcaoling cement limestone deposit, and the Geological Company of the State Bureau of Building Materials awarded the team the third prize for the geological exploration achievements of Qingcaoling cement limestone mine area.
