China Mobile E-Commerce Co., Ltd. was established by China Mobile in June, 201/KLOC-0 and invested by China Mobile Communications Group Hunan Co., Ltd., registered in Changsha, Hunan, with a registered capital of 500 million yuan. 20111February, China Mobile Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd. obtained the payment business license issued by the central bank. The company's predecessor was China Mobile E-commerce Base, which was approved by China Mobile Communications Group and built by Hunan Mobile. It is the only institution that undertakes the platform construction, product development and business operation of mobile payment and mobile wallet business in China, covering the whole country. The company now has six departments, including the General Department, the Fund Management Department, the Risk Compliance Department, the Product Planning Department, the Business Operation Department and the Technology Operation and Maintenance Department, with an operation team of more than 500 people, covering talents in many fields such as network, IT communication, finance, Internet and third-party payment.
