The history of Swiss life insurance company is a story with many wonderful fragments. Starting from a small local Swiss company, it has now become an international group that plays an important role in the domestic stock market. Founded by Conrad Widdemer in Zurich on September 28th, 1857. Since then, it has become a pioneer in all fields of personal life insurance. The company has 69 general agents and about 800 insurance consultants, financial planners and employee welfare consultants throughout the country, providing long-term savings and protection plans, as well as asset and risk management consulting.
In Switzerland, as an industrial insurance, it has set up various old-age insurance suitable for all social classes. As early as 19 18, the form of group insurance was introduced. In order to obtain higher insurance coverage, SL started overseas business immediately after its establishment. Since the establishment of 1866 in Germany, there are subsidiaries and/or branches in most EU countries. In order to enter the East Asian market directly and smoothly, SL set up a Beijing representative office and a Singapore sales office during 1995. During the period of 1999, a series of new enterprises were established within the group, such as BANCA DEL GOTTARDO, UTO ALBIS and STG. Because of its international network of more than 50 partners in 44 countries, it has the ability to compete as an international group without relaxing the European market. 1993 put forward new business ideas, and 1994 reorganized. 1995 signed a letter of cooperation with UBS Group AG, the largest Swiss bank. 1June 30th, 997, became a public limited company. 1999, terminated the cooperation with UBS and started the cooperation with the largest retail bank in Switzerland (ZK).
