1884- John H. Patterson founded the national cash register company and manufactured the first mechanical cash register.

1906- Charles f kettering designed the world's first electronic cash register.

1952-NCR acquired Hawthorne Computer Research Company (CRC) located in California, USA, which produces digital computers for aviation.

1953-NCR set up an electronic department and continued to explore electronic application systems suitable for various commercial computers.

1974- The company was renamed NCR Company.

1982—— The first NCR tower microcomputer came out, and NCR became a pioneer in introducing industry standards and open system architecture.

199 1 year-by AT & amp; T acquisition.

199 1 year-NCR acquired Teradata Company and acquired its advanced and unique commercial parallel processing technology. NCR Teradata database has become the most famous and powerful data warehouse in the world.

1994-NCR changed its name to AT & amp; Global information solution (GIS).

1995-at & amp; T in & announced; T GIS will be independent at the end of 1996.

1996-at & amp; T GIS is renamed NCR, and it is expected to be separated from AT&T and become an independent listed company.

1997——NCR acquired 8 Compris Technology Company, a leading supplier of store automation and management software in catering service industry, and Dataworks Company, which developed check processing software, thus completing the business transformation from a pure hardware supplier to a comprehensive solution supplier.

1998——NCR completed its business transformation and sold its computer hardware manufacturing assets to Xudian Company, which further established the market positioning of NCR's efforts to develop featured software and service products.

In 2000, NCR acquired Ceres Integrated Solutions, a customer relationship management solution provider, and 4Front Technologies, a service company, further expanding the range of NCR solutions in the mainstream market.
